Designed BY mums FOR mums, the Mum’s Eye View Workshop by Love and Soul will be like no other photographic workshop you have ever attended before!
Ok, so we call it the “Mum’s Eye View” workshop, but of course, Dad’s are welcome too! If you have a digital SLR camera and want to be able to use it to its full potential whilst having fun with your kids (or someone elses!) too, than this workshop is for you!
Bwahaha! Well, we’re just full of surprises aren’t we?! It is only aud$195.00/nzd$225.00, and worth every cent! You only have to pay a (non-refundable) deposit of $50 to secure your place, and the remaining one week before the day of your workshop. We are pretty nice gals really, so feel free to ask if you need to “pay it off” in smaller increments to make it easier to pay the bills. We are mums too remember, we know how tough it can be!
We don’t discriminate! If we can score some cheap airfares that will bring us close to you, we’ll be there with bells on! Right now, we have the following dates and locations confirmed:

If you would like to suggest a location/date for a possible future Love and Soul Workshop near you, please do use the “Contact Us” link at the top of the page.!![]()
Well, a camera might be handy! You don’t HAVE to have a digital SLR, but those who do, will gain the most from our workshop. We will cover general photography theory, lighting, composition etc, but all camera instruction will be focused (pun intended!) on using a DSLR.
You should also make sure that you have plenty of (charged!) batteries, a lens or two, a memory card that isn’t choc full of Aunty May’s 85th birthday party photos, and something to write on (and with!) too. If your workshop is during the warmer months, it might pay to bring a water bottle, a hat, and sunscreen too!
Don’t forget your smile! You will be tested on this skill through-out the day!
Ok, well, please leave your little darlings, cranky partners, big egos and smelly socks at home (mismatched and socks with holes are accepted and expected of busy superhuman mums though)…
Well, no. Providing you can read (and understand!) English, and your fingers are dexterous enough to turn the knobs on your camera, you have all the knowledge and “experience” that you need!
You can be as fancy as you like, but it won’t make any difference! Everyone will be treated equally, regardless of how much their gear cost! So long as you have one camera, one lens, 2 legs and a heartbeat, you’ll have a great experience and go home armed with a wealth of new knowledge.
You can, but our lessons will be directed at digital photography, and time won’t be allocated to digress from our “curriculum”. Please only bring a film camera if you are already quite familiar with it and have a pretty reasonable “success rate” with your images.
We rock, it’s that simple! (Well, that’s what our 3 year olds tell us and who are we to argue?!)
